I have a question regarding my date of entry and place of entry...
I landed in Newark, NJ in 2003, which is coorect as per our I-94 and immigration stamps on the passport..
But I had visited to Canada in Sept 2004 by road for a week, but none of the custom officers have taken our I-94 while going and issued new while entring.. And there is no entry STAMP either from US immigration from Buffalo border...
Please advice, which date or place should be mentined in the forms..
Thanks for help..

I am in the same boat. my wife`s H4 Stamp is expired with me ( I am on H1- B) but got approval for another three years. I don`t want to go for visa stamping coz of long delays and just wondering if my wife can get visa stamp from Islamabad without me.
I am thinking to email Islambad embassy and ask them directly.

Are you guys sure that you can make deductions for home loan interest paid for homes outside the US? AFAIK, thats not allowed. For home loan interest paid in the US, you get a form from your mortgage lender/bank. You don't get any such form recognized by IRS for interest paid in India or else where.
Why would US want to give you deductions for your investments/home some where else? I will be really amazed to find out that the US allows deductions for interest paid on home loans outside of US.
ras,
Call the IRS 1-800-829-1040 and get it right.
I have a loan there too and I asked a couple of financial advisor - They all had the same opinion. If someone finds out otherwise please let us know.
Thanks

I really appreciate all the advice. The only issue now is to see if I can find a good camera shop in town that will have what I need. I think my friend Andrew or Jason may have a spare tripod they aren't using I could probably confiscate :D .
One of the people I work with used to do comercial photography, and does it on the side still. She said that sometime soon we could go out and spend a day shooting if I wanted. Which would be awesome. I think she would have a lot of hands on, great advice to give. And of course you guys are awesome. I took a couple more....well several more pictures last night.
I will post a couple of my favorites for you guys. I also learned that I have a red eye removal tool ON the camera, as well as being able to change the pictures color settings (black and white, Sepia, and color). Also instead of overwriting the original...it saves it as a new picture at the end of your file stream. I find that WAY cool.
