I opened a service ticket for my 485 (PD 2004) and got the following message in a letter.
"We have determined that your case would have a better result if you make an appointment ot visit your local office"
And the letter gave a link to infopass. What does it mean?

as best i understand:
there will be a country cap. therefore initially EB3 ROW will benefit immensely. yes it will take a while for india/china- isn't that the usual story? people with older PD's from those countries will wait longer. but once EB3 ROW starts getting current visas will flow to india and china. no thye will not go to Y.i don't know why everyone keeps bringing Y up. firstly the 90,000 are reserved for retrogression relief. secondly Y program starts 18 mnths later after presidential certification. thirdly common interpretations are that Y folks can only apply after going home ie 2 yrs later.
therefore the first 3 yrs even the 10,000 reserved for Y should flow back to everyone else. once they can apply they will have 10,000 set aside.
i think iv has tried and is trying very hard to get country caps lifted.
you can help...see action items!

Can you show where in the bill it states that the excess will flow back to the countries that have already reached the country cap limit. If I remember correctly even the AC21 clause that flows back the excess numbers to EB has been removed.

Unless you have a notice that you are required to have fingerprints, you can be issued with an EAD without having to go through the fingerprint process.
I have just renewed my EAD for the second time and have never been fingerprinted.

Already applied for a new passport before I filed I-90.
applied by mail because that is what the consulate told me will work
What I am really missing is my company laptop. All my programs are in there , and I have to start from scrap. USCIS told me the info pass option. I am waiting on consulate to gimme passport.
I actually talked again to the cops. They are doing something they said ( today somebody else talked to me and appeared a lot more sensible. Else they have these "bouncers" who answer your call and reply to you like part time lawyers ) . Lets see what comes out. Hopefully that is not too little - too late
Yeah I paid for Biometrics fee ( again $80 + $270 new GC fee ) but it is not clear if USCIS does biometrics on every lost/stolen GC or only if your 15 month period expires.At one pt I was told you will definitely get FP'ed & other time they said , they need to FP you only if 15 months have passed.
Credit Monitoring Agency : Yes that is definitely an option worth a thought.
Course ..needless to say ...all CC's have been changed

I see where they dont give an offer letter to a contractor.
But shouldn't someone working as a contractor actually have a "contract" or "purchase order"? There has to be some paperwork indicating that they are paying you for a certain amount and type of work. Maybe that's what you need.

I believe I am the first one to get receipt No after refile.
just called the USCIS customer service and got I-485 receipt number for both my and my wife.
case was refiled to NSC CRU supervisor on 10/11/2007. got receipt No today.

What is the authenticity of this statement. you mean to say that USCIS may come out and say on 20 july that they are not accepting any more applications...But I think it shuould be always mentioned in bulletin and that will be for next month...

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it until the CIS send you an RFE or something. However, I would have the EVL and other required documents ready to respond to a possible RFE.
People have received RFEs despite sending AC21 papers, so the papers you send may or may not reach your file.

I left my GC sponsoring company this week for better opportunity. They sent me a letter stating that, they are going to notify USCIS about my resignation.
Here are my questions:
1) Should I file AC21 before they (GC sponsoring company) notify USCIS?
2) What will happen to my I-485 application once they notify USCIS about my resignation?

I watched different forums for over 2 year without contributing and without posting anything. I have already spent more than $15,000 on the lawyers who never return my phone call. Then I realized that this forum is giving me more value than my lawyer. Every couple of days I read the posts from Pappu/Admin in the forum. For me that is worth more than $25. I have read different views on different forums for last 2 years. The make-up of people on these forums is such that I don't think reducing or increasing subscription will change anything substantially. If IV want more members then they should remove subscription. Reducing subscription will NOT bring more people to contribute. Increasing subscription will bring more donations.
