Applied at tsc on 2aug card prodn. ordered on 23rd oct. But I have received 3 lud's after that on 485 and 2 on 765, my 140 is still pending at TSC applied on 29 of july.
can anybody guess what is it for?

read the article ..it is almost as if they want to block aliens in whatever way that they can (and in all fields) ..i.e. even if it is harmful to businesses, they want they to hire locals first.
This is new government's change for immigrants ..democrats in some way are always like this (though I supported Obama) ..protectionism and against business.

Peoples from Aug 2nd are getting EAD , FP and my July 2nd package is still getting rot at NSC cold storage - What kind of Justice is that ? I'm never complained because i'll be returned the deafest pair of ears in world. If you want to change the way of life at USCIS and injustice PL. COME TO DC RALLY and help IV in whatever way you can. Try to convince more and more folks to come at DC

Thanks for your response.....So it is a trend I suppose.....sometimes i feel is it too much to ask the status after you have spent a decade waiting and doing the proper thing.....even that they can't comply with..........
So i suppose we can just wait.....last year when I sent letters to who's who of the USA I got an RFE after a couple of months....but I think at least it initiated some action on their part....I am not sure if I do the same again it will do anything different this time......
I had sent letters to Kerry and Kennedy...but they came back with standard responses.....but at least they responded......I think Kennedy's staff responded that they don't see my case as urgent enough for them to interfere.....I had not asked to interfere I just wanted to know the status.....again these letters go to lower level staff members and the persons these letters were intended to never got any whiff of it....
But I may contact ombudsman....I need to know how to contact him....

I don't know for sure. But at the same time it does not mean your case won't be touched if it shows RFE review. I specifically asked her about the RFE review, she told me that it cannot go to decision status as PD is not current and my case is pre adjudicated and waiting for visa number. She knew what she was talking about and not one of those "this is all i have on the screen types".
My lawyer sent in my RFE response last June & yesterday I too noticed mine is in RFE review stage-wonder whta curveball theryre going to throw now!

My friend just found out she's pregnant. She's currently on H4 with approved I-140 and waiting to file I-485. She doesn't have medical insurance and neither does her husband. They can hardly afford insurance. If they apply for medicaid will it effect her GC when she file I-485? They don't want to do anything to jeopardize their GC process.

I went thru the same situation recently. But I went to my nearest CBP office (in my case, Newark Intnl airport office) and told the lobby receptionist about the case. She took my passport and i-94 and took it inside. I was then allowed to talk to a Imm officer. It turned out that they are supposed to give you i-94 till latest validity date on your latest 797, but it was their mistake, they promptly corrected it and gave a new i-94 with corrected date to me immediately. You just have to make your case confidently (but be polite) to the imm. office and tell them HONESTLY what the case is. I am sure you will be taken care of.

Yesterday I got the magic (physical) mail from USCIS. My GC is finally approved!!! It's only half as pleasant as my wife's GC was unfortunately not approved at the same time. They raised RFE on her case.
My details:
EB2 PD: Jan 2005, NSC, RD: Aug 2007, ND: Oct 2007, I-140 approved Apr 2007 (premium), My own pre-perm labor (no substitute, no porting).
I stopped tracking my case online somewhere in the middle of September after it was evident that they have stopped processing GCs. I did not get any email regarding the approval from USCIS either. After I received the notice welcoming new permanent resident in mail yesterday I checked my case online and found out it was approved on Sept 30, 2008 - the last day my PD was current!! I have never been so lucky any time in the past :) In fact I'm still not believing it 100% as I did not get the usual email notices like approval notice or card production ordered. I'm still afraid it is too good to be true. Hopefully I'm wrong :confused: I'll believe it 100% only when I get the physical green card in my hands!

I want to thank IV and all of you for being such a incredible group and support network. I know IV's achievements get questioned a lot but for me they have been very concrete. without the July 2007 fiasco's successful resolution neither me nor many others who got approved in August 2008 could have seen their GCs so fast. Without IV we would not have 2 year EADs cutting the renewal pain in half. I'll continue to support IV anyway I can. IV is the only viable grassroots organization around for legal, skilled immigrants and we have to stay together if we want to have any shot at making a difference.
Finally, wishing everyone here a good luck and a speedy road to GC. Sorry for the long rambling but I hope you will excuse me this one time as this is my first thread created in last 2.5 years :)
